Solivus create eco friendly innovative solar products and solar solutions to help power domestic and industrial buildings and electric vehicles.
They approached us at startup phase to help create a brand that would impress investors and take them into market. We are now assisting with all aspects of design within the company, from product design to marketing communications.
CREATING A BRAND
We were originally approached by Solivus right at the inception of the company. At this point they were busty researching thin film solar materials in the hope that they could be sculpted into aesthetically pleasing alternatives to the heavy black solar panels currently clinging to buildings around the world.
Our brief was to create a brand that would reflect the design led and eco friendly nature of the business.
As a result the Solivus logo incorporates a mark we call the Solivus flower. The mark comprises of six intersecting hexagons which were derived from studying the cell structure of graphene. The hexagons were then divided up using intersecting lines to represent the sun's rays and the solar aspect of the business. The resulting shapes were then refined and softened to represent petals from a flower, in synergy with the ecological and organic goals of the company.
A contemporary typographic style and minimalist colour palette complimented the logo to create a bright, spacious, modern design aesthetic from which the brand could grow.
ASSISTING PRODUCT DESIGN
Currently in R&D phase, Solivus have patented the Arc, an innovative sculptural design for domestic purposes. Covered in organic thin film solar and using a curved design to maximise the use of the sun's rays this innovative product can power homes and electric vehicles. We are working with the product designers to tweak curves and surfaces and finess the aesthetic.
We've also been helping to visualise first phase prototypes for a solar car port and curved roof pods to be housed on large scale buildings and industrial units.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING
When Solivus had their business plan in place they wanted to attract investors and asked us to create a video that could pitch the concept of the company in under two minutes. Working with a team of animators we created the promo below.
With the movie in the can we then created a fully content managed website to launch Solivus into the world. Powerpoint templates and info graphics were also rolled out to assist the team with presentations to prospective investors and clients.
